ABOUT AMP:

AMP ENTERTAINMENT is an independent film & video production company based in Denton, Texas specializing in high quality production and post production of event videos, industrial videos, infomercials, full-length documentaries, photo collages, duplications, transfers, music videos, local and national commercials, web design, print work and feature films. List of clients include Borden, Clinique, Peterbuilt, NuconSteel and The Montel Williams Show. Film shoots have included collaboration with national chains such as Doubletree Hotels and Dress Barn clothing stores. AMP is proud to boast an international Telly award for Directing, an International Aurora Award for Production Value, and an international Videographer?s Award for Cinematography. Remote servicce? Whether you?re looking to do a production from the ground up, or you just need assistance with certain sections of your production, AMP has got you covered.

ABOUT THE OWNER:

I'm a filmmaker / videographer veteran (do everything) of 15 years.  I've written/shot/directed/edited features, tv, shorts, documentaries, industrial videos, weddings, event videos and commercials.  My first feature (a romantic comedy called ALMOST) is in preparation for distribution via Vanguard Cinema in Los Angeles.  My second feature (an action/thriller called RECEIVER) is in the editing stage.  I also currently produce, act, and direct the cheesy online one-man comedy show called ONE CHEAP MOVE (currently seeking placement as a 30 minute sitcom on network or cable TV) at www.onecheapmove.com

I shoot on both film and HD, and edit on a Mac with Final Cut Studio 2, including Soundtrack Pro, Motion, LiveType, DVD Studio Pro, and Logic 8.  I have mole richardson lights too. a 1K, 3 650s, a soft box, C-stands, and scrims and diffusion. I'm always seeking new film and video gigs. No job is too big or too small. ABOUT LAURENCE MAHER:


Holding a bachelor's degree in Radio/TV/Film (with a minor in music) from the University of North Texas, Laurence went on to establish the company: Acton Video Productions. AVP specializes in film and video at every level, including commercials, narratives, weddings, and event videography.

Trying to make the difficult transition into movies, Laurence later formed the independent film production company AMP ENTERTAINMENT, under which he wrote, directed, and co-produced his first feature, ALMOST. His second feature, the action-thriller RECEIVER, is currently in post-production, and his third film, a feature horror, is in the works.

Laurence has written and directed an abundance of short films, was the director of photography for several shorts and features, has written and recorded a full-length pop music album, and is the author of many short stories, two novels and a large number of screenplays. His hobbies include weight training, martial arts and playing trombone. 2006 will mark the premiere of his absurdist Web/TV comedy series, ONE CHEAP MOVE.
