Bio

Christopher Wierda formed Genesee Media in the spring of 2007. Genesee Media is a full service firm providing web design, Flash animation, photography, videography, graphic & print media design for billboards, advertisements and direct mail campaigns. Chris has over 15 years experience in IT (Information Technology) and has managed major communication projects in corporate environments.

Chris is still an IT Project Manager, working between a dedicated commercial printer and a major health insurance provider in the Western New York region. He is a Certified Mail-piece Quality Specialist recognized by the United States Post Office. This means that his print designs are fulfilled with the mailing in mind, ensuring your project won't have to go back to the drawing board. He has also managed major communications regulated by Federal HIPAA compliance laws. Chris has designed and formatted a vast array of documents including; legal contracts, scannable surveys, invoices, coupons and advertisements. Most of his projects have been variable data based, driven by XML extracts from a client database.

Chris' life-long love of the arts and career in technology, drove him to pursue hobbies in electronic media. He obsessed over Adobe Flash and ActionScript's capabilities, after mastering HTML & CSS as a hobby. After years of 'playing' with PHP, MySQL and open source technology, he decided to pursue his dream and convert his passions and knowledge into his own firm. Genesee Media...
