Bio

I have been drawing, illustrating and designing from a very early age. Although life has pulled me in many different directions, I have always had art and design as an essential part of my life.

I graduated in 1991 from Rochester Institute of Technology with a major in Computer Science and a concentration in 2-D and 3-D graphics.

I?ve been part of the work world for close to fifteen years, and held a variety of roles in the technology field covering programming, software and GUI design, business analysis and project management. Although I have been fortunate and prosperous in my current career, I have increasingly felt the need to express and communicate visually, and make it a more prominent part of my life. I always find that my art and design projects absorb me for hours in what feels like minutes. These activities provide me a sense of calm excitement, and a strong feeling of reward and accomplishment.

I would consider myself an entry-level designer, and my goal is to make design and illustration the primary focus of my future career. My objective to build my skills and creative potential, while helping effectively communicate subjects that matter to people.

I am looking for challenging freelance/part-time opportunities in the area of web and print design, with extensions into art, illustration and software development. Additionally, I can provide you the assurance of a seasoned professional who has managed people, budgets and projects successfully.
