Bio

Hi, my name is Michael. I am from a small town in Tennessee, and I have been dreaming about being a product designer since I knew what a car was. And now, here I am. I have a BFAID from SCAD and a passion for designing beautiful, innovative products.
Because I have a passion for smart, memorable design, I am an automatic starter who can get motivated for any project. I am looking for a challenging opportunity in which I am able to contribute to the design process, and ideally, have the chance to be a part of as many of the stages of the process as possible.
While my industry experience is limited, I have gained many skills so far. I am highly flexible, and am comfortable operating in ambiguity. I also have an excellent ability for working under pressure. An ability to solve difficult mechanical and conceptual problems with simple, streamlined and beautiful designs are also skill I have been able to develop over the past three years.
I have also become highly skilled at approaching design in both 2D and 3D. In 3D, my skills include wood, paper, plastic, metal and composites combined with numerous fabrication methods. However, I am also capable in numerous 3D software programs including Alias, Rhino, Blender and SolidWorks.
