Bio

My background is in music and marketing. Having been a deejay, I found myself becoming a graphic artist & web designer to get my name out and get more music gigs. I landed a few Marketing Manager jobs and started my own business, where I also managed marketing - doing graphics, web design, print design and many other various forms of marketing. When I moved to California, I became a graphic artist for a large Real Estate company, and then was promoted to print manager where I learned how to create (design, print and cut) business cards, postcards, brochures, bound documents and many other miscellaneous print jobs as needed. I also was in charge of inventory, paper management and printer maintenance. My next career move was into newspaper and web, working for www.bakersfield.com where I worked promoting the website and newspaper at many large events and also doing graphic design for the newspaper and their website. Next, I got my Mac graphic design experience working as the Creative Director for a local monthly family publication. Basically my job was to design the entire magazine every month: ads, stories, content, layout. Not only did I have to do this in a small amount of time (about 3 weeks for 40-70 pages) but I also provided computer tech support, answered phones and designed and printed their personal marketing (business cards, letterhead, media kits, etc.).
