Bio

I'm an artist specializing in character design, cartoon art and humorous illustration. I feel my strength lies in giving each character I create, whether it be a person, animal or inanimate object, a unique and distinctive personality. I also have a slightly warped sense of humor and that inevitably shows up in my work.

In my work I use both traditional and digital tools. Sometimes they are independent of one another- other times I combine them to enhance a character or project. I also do work that is a bit darker or surreal in nature. For these projects I combine my original illustrations and photography with digital elements.

I have over 20 years of experience working on such things as; editorial cartoons, daily comic strips, t-shirt designs, greeting cards, brochures, business cards, logos, print advertisements, billboards, point-of-purchase displays, press/promotional material for rock bands, compact disc packaging, web design and video production.

I feel communication is the most important aspect of any assignment. Each client has a specific idea of what he or she wants and it is my job as the artist to bring that idea to life. An open line of dialogue is essential to ensure that happens. I am extremely easy to work with and am always open to comments, suggestions or even constructive criticism.
